Seriously, Google's going to gobble up mainstream terrestrial TV. Together with YouTube (if they don't get sued front, right and center, that is) they'll be making even more gajungas of money..... and all they started off was simply designing a piece of technology that helped people search for information faster.... shares IPOed at US$85 and now worth well over US$400++, if only in hindsight ..

Large corporations like Google and Microsoft have a generous annual budget specially reserved for settling lawsuits, it won't be a problem.
Google's shares were expected to fall after they launched Google Maps, because everyone thought they'd run out of ideas. What's next after YouTube?
True as that maybe with their deep pockets, Google's successful use of YouTube as their extended Advertising arm probably hinges on YouTube's improved reputation as a copyright free content provider. Google have never had to deal with copyright issues in the past (as far as I know), and with copyright infringements today up hot on the watch list for increasingly litigious firms, one can't be too careful. I'm all for YouTube and Google though if Google overly commercialise YouTube like requesting payment for loading and accessing content, then they'll suffer the wrath of us tightfisted e-consumers!
